From October 16 to 18, 2026, Hefei Zhicheng Apiculture participated in the expo held alongside the 2026 Asian Apiculture Association Conference at the Minjiang Empark Grand Hotel Conference & Exhibition Center in Fuzhou, China.

At Booth T2, our team presented a selection of bulk honey, retail honey products and other bee products. Throughout the exhibition, visitors stopped to explore different honey varieties, taste our products and discuss their sourcing requirements.

This year, we also placed greater emphasis on introducing the supply chain behind our honey, including our beekeeping network, raw material sourcing, production capabilities and quality management practices.

Honey Products That Attracted Attention at Booth T2

Different products attracted interest from different groups of visitors, giving our team useful feedback on potential applications and market preferences.

Our Pocket Honey (small-bottle honey) and Honey Sticks were among the most frequently discussed retail products. Their compact packaging attracted visitors who wanted to learn more about the available flavors, product specifications and possible retail applications. Many also took the opportunity to taste the products at our booth.

Beyond honey, our freeze-dried royal jelly tablets received particular interest from visitors from Singapore. Discussions focused on the product itself and its potential in the local market.

For bulk honey, our jujube blossom honey received positive feedback from Middle Eastern visitors. This was an encouraging response to one of the honey varieties we presented and provided a useful starting point for further discussions about raw honey supply.

These conversations also reminded us of the importance of presenting products in person. Visitors could examine packaging, compare flavors and ask questions directly, helping both sides understand product expectations more clearly.

Exploring Honey Supply Opportunities in Japan

One of the notable aspects of this exhibition was the number of Japanese visitors who came to our booth.

We had opportunities to introduce our honey products and discuss our raw material supply capabilities with several Japanese industry professionals. Business cards were exchanged with potential partners, opening the door to further communication after the event.

For companies sourcing honey for processing, distribution or product development, the discussion often extends beyond individual honey varieties. Floral origin, product specifications, supply consistency, quality control and traceability are also important considerations.

These were among the areas we emphasized when introducing Zhicheng Apiculture.

With an approximately 20,000 m² manufacturing base, the company maintains a stable annual supply capacity of 5,600+ tons of honey and 50+ tons of royal jelly, serving food manufacturers, honey companies, brands and international buyers.

By sharing information about our sourcing network and production system, we hope to help potential buyers better understand how we manage honey supply and quality.

The contacts established during the exhibition will provide a basis for exploring possible cooperation in the Japanese market.

Four Generations of Beekeeping

Our family's history in beekeeping was another subject that attracted interest during conversations at the booth.

The Gu family's involvement in beekeeping dates back to 1912 and has now reached its fourth generation. Over the years, the business has developed from traditional beekeeping into honey and bee product processing, raw material supply and international trade.

Zhenyu Gu, the third-generation leader of the family business, attended the exhibition in person. He spoke with visitors about honey, shared the family's beekeeping history and introduced the principles that have guided our work over the years.

For us, the commitment to real honey is closely connected to this history. It is reflected in our approach to sourcing, cooperation with beekeepers, production and quality management.

Jiayin Gu, a fourth-generation member of the family, also participated in customer reception and product introductions. With an overseas educational background and experience communicating across different cultures, she helped introduce our products and business to international visitors.

Having two generations involved in the exhibition allowed visitors to hear both the history of our family business and how its work continues to develop today.

Connecting Industry Discussions with Real Products

The expo was held in conjunction with the 2026 Asian Apiculture Association Conference, following the 31st China-Japan Bee Products Conference on October 14–15 at the same venue in Fuzhou.

This arrangement brought professional conference activities and product exhibitions together in one location.

Conference participants could discuss industry developments and technical subjects while also visiting exhibitors to examine honey and bee products firsthand.

For our team, this created opportunities to combine professional exchange with practical product discussions. Buyers could see the packaging, taste different honey varieties and speak directly with the people involved in sourcing, production and sales.

It also gave us an opportunity to learn more about the interests and requirements of different markets through direct conversations.

Continuing the Conversations After Fuzhou

We would like to thank everyone who visited Zhicheng Apiculture at Booth T2, whether to taste a product, discuss honey raw materials, exchange business cards or learn about our family beekeeping history.

The exhibition gave us new contacts, valuable product feedback and opportunities to explore cooperation with partners from Japan and other markets.

Our next step is to continue these conversations, understand specific sourcing and product requirements, and explore where our honey and bee product supply capabilities may be a good fit.

We look forward to staying connected with the industry professionals and business partners we met in Fuzhou.
